Fighting Planned Parenthood Expansion

We are Brighton Residents Against Violence and we are actively fighting the construction of the new Planned Parenthood at Westfall Medical Park in Brighton, NY.

We will not back down.

Abortion is not medicine. Clinics are intended to help people. Planned Parenthood does not belong in a medical park. Period. With 3 abortion clinics all within a 10 minute distance of Brighton, why do women need another abortion clinic in Brighton? Nobody knows.

Since June of 2021, BRAVE members have participated in...

14    Brighton Town Board and Planning Board meetings totaling

 

7+ months of board meetings with not one meeting missed consecutively and exactly

 

127 presentations opposing the Brighton PP total 

 

8 on average presenters at each meeting with a maximum of 25 presenters at one meeting, minimum of 4 presenters at another meeting totaling

 

62 prolife presenters all in al who spoke at these meetings.

Each presentation contains critical facts and information on Planned Parenthood as an organization, the harmful cost and effects of abortion, and why the organization as a whole is not desired in the Brighton community.

RALLYING FOR LIFE

Pro-life groups around Rochester have united and gathered to declare their opposition to the new Planned Parenthood in Brighton. See their faces. Experience their passion.

On July 14, pro-lifers outnumbered pro-choicers at Brighton Town Hall when the Planning Board was set to make their decision. Despite that, the Planning Board ignored the many voices, and approved the new abortion facility.

Brighton Residents against Violence and ROC Love Will End Abortion rallied in opposition to the new Brighton Planned Parenthood on August 13, 2021.

 

Well over 100 people came and held signs in front of Westfall Medical Park.

​

More rallies to come.

Petitioning Online & Door to Door

Over 2,000 petitions have been collected through grassroots efforts by B.R.A.V.E. members. Petitions have been collected both online through Change.org and by door to door in Brighton neighborhoods. 

​

Writing to Doctors & Nearby Professionals

Several letters were written and mailed to over 80 doctors in and around Westfall Medical Park. Read th letters we wrote to them. 

SUBMITTING F.O.I.L. REQUESTS

Several FOIL requests were also submitted to the Town of Brighton for more information. Check them out.​
